12 MORNING HABITS WORTH DEVELOPING

Weather you consider yourself a morning person or not, adopting a morning routine has its benefits.
Instead of hitting to the snooze button or dragging yourself out of bed, why not make the most of this time of the day and try these 12 morning habits which is worth developing.
From the moment you get out of bed, a morning routine provides a pre-planned road map so you don’t have to think about how to create a purposeful and productive day.

12 morning routine ideas to jumpstart your day:

1. Wake up – Waking up early gives you a no distraction opportunity to exercise, meditate, read, write, eat a healthy breakfast, clean up around the home basically get a head shot on your day.

2. Make bed – This is the only task on this list of morning routine ideas that I insist you try!

3. Hydrate (bonus drink warm water and add lemon) - You likely haven’t hydrated all night, so it’s important to start your day with drinking warm water and add lemon and honey(optional) to it.

4. Journal – Grab a cute notebook and a pen and jot down any thoughts that are stressing you out or take a positive route and make a list of items that you are thankful for.

5. Pray – Spend some quite time praying for the day ahead. And spend time with yourself. Also, you can use a guided mediation app, to focus your breathing and relieve your negative thoughts.

6. Plan your day with a to do list – To do list actually helps a lot. It provides you a pre-planned roadmap for the day ahead. Use this time to think through what you need to get done and jot down three most important tasks.

7. Exercise “get moving” – whether you are doing aerobics or simple stretching routine or hitting the gym, all them will wake up your body and help you to jumpstart your day. Bonus point if you can get out of the sun!

8. Eat a healthy breakfast – breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for a good reason. As the name suggest, breakfast breaks the overnight fasting period. It boosts up your energy levels and alertness, and also provides other essentials nutrients required for good health.

9. Get ready for the day – set out your clothes the night before even I do that and its pretty easy. When you take time to dress nicely, style your hair, and put on just a touch of confidence it feels a lot better than staying all day in your “pyjamas”.

10. Catch up on the news – I am pretty sure that news is 90% depressing most of the time, but its good to stay informed on some of the big headlines. I prefer the Google news app because it will show news with the topics you are interested in.

11. Turn on some good music – if you are a music person put on Spotify playlist to boost your mood in the morning. You don’t have to concentrate what people are saying….. you can just enjoy your music.

12. Review your budget – grab a pen and a paper or a notebook and take a few minutes to look over your budget categories to see what you have left to spend in each. This helps you to categorise any purchase you made the previous day.
